About Christa

Christa Bates is a trauma-informed practitioner specializing in nervous system capacity restoration.

With over 25 years of teaching and facilitation experience, I work with individuals who are overwhelmed, burned out, or operating under sustained pressure - supporting them in restoring the physiological and cognitive capacity required for steadiness, decision-making, and self-leadership.

I'm an EFT advocate working to expand access to EFT in the United States by training advocates and experts who can help address the chronic stress epidemic.

My approach

I work directly with the nervous system, supporting both conscious and subconscious processes so patterns related to stress, identity, and safety can resolve at their root.

This work restores capacity - the ability to stay present, think clearly, and respond rather than react, especially under pressure. From that place, self-leadership and clarity emerge naturally.

My interest in nervous system capacity is personal.

I know firsthand what it takes to step out of generational patterns and create a healthier environment for the next generation of my family.

That experience shaped my understanding of how deeply our internal nervous system state influences the lives around us.

When people are carrying unresolved stress, inherited patterns, or chronic pressure, it becomes difficult to live with clarity, steadiness, and purpose.

The work I offer helps people reconnect with their internal capacity for safety, responsiveness, and self-trust.

This isn’t just individual change.

When someone strengthens their internal capacity, it affects their family, their relationships, and the environments they help shape.

I bring a steady, grounded presence and a clear structure for doing this work safely and effectively.

As capacity is restored, people often rediscover who they are, what truly matters to them, and how they want to move forward.

My Story

For the past three years, I’ve been on a deep journey exploring how to help people navigate stress, trauma, and emotional overwhelm.

During that time, many people have watched me try countless approaches to support healing and personal growth. I’ve studied, experimented, learned, and worked with people one-on-one in many different ways. Each step taught me something valuable about what people are truly facing beneath the surface.

What became clear is that we are living in a time where stress and trauma are affecting people at a massive scale. At the same time, many individuals have never been taught how to regulate their nervous systems or develop the kind of self-leadership that allows them to navigate life with steadiness and clarity.

My journey led me deeper into understanding the nuances of trauma, the importance of ethical practice, and the responsibility that comes with teaching tools that influence people’s emotional and nervous system health.

Through that process, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) became one of the most powerful tools I encountered. It is simple enough for people to learn, yet profound enough to support real nervous system regulation and emotional healing.

While I value the ability to help people one-on-one, I realized that my deeper purpose is larger than individual sessions.

My purpose is advocacy.

I believe people should have access to practical tools that help them regulate stress, reconnect with their inner wisdom, and lead their lives with greater intention and self-awareness.

That belief is what led me to start the EFT Advocacy Movement.

This movement exists to expand access to nervous system regulation tools like EFT, promote responsible education and ethical use, and encourage a culture of self-leadership within our communities.

My goal is to build a growing network of EFT advocates and experts who can help bring these tools into schools, workplaces, healthcare settings, and everyday community life.

Because when people learn how to regulate their nervous systems, everything changes.

They think more clearly.
They respond rather than react.
They reconnect with their inner wisdom.
And they begin living with greater intention.

That’s the kind of change that doesn't just help individuals - it strengthens families, communities, and the environments we all share.
